Man, so recently I’ve gotten addicted it to Smallville, but most of the sites that you watch it on use MegaVideo, now MegaVideo has a good service, but it’s 72 minute hourly limit sucks. Theres a few ways to bypass, but I found this way the easiest!
Simply goto http://bypassmegavideo.info/ and enter the URL of the video on megavideo you wanna watch, like http://www.megavideo.com/?v=4TF267S5 or something and click that button to the right of the field and off you go!
Just a heads up, when you get on the next page with the video player, and if theres green circle with a play button within, it’ll tell you to click said play button, doing this opens a ad in a new window or redirects the page to an ad, just hit the back button and the video will start playing and btw pause and leave the video load up for around a minute or so, that way it’ll play without it stopping on occasion to load
Fr Teh Geeks: On the technical side of things, it appears the php file finds the core flash video file and then outputs in the sites own flash video player, the video player aspect itself of megavideo’s videos controls time limitation and whatnot!
Man its sexy, wish I had one, but Im happy with the 3GS im buying tomorrow!

Right, so in my previous post I embedded the vid of my first backflip via twitvid.com, however what would I do if I wanted to download that? Heres a guide on how to download vids from twitvid!
1.
Goto the page of the video you wanna download, see the URL bit up top, well in this case its ” http://www.twitvid.com/A7C51 “, well just ” player/” after the “twitvid.com”, so it’d be “http://www.twitvid.com/player/A7C51″, hit enter an go it.

righto, so you’ll be brought to this page, its basically a big screen flash player of the vid, the url will now be something ridonkcolously, pick out the http://www.twitvid.com/playVideo_A7C51/token_87c55b1e07b6647e6e7bf172b6585ef0
copy and paste it into the url bar and go to it!
3.
Right, so this is the movie file playing in your browser, its a .mp4 (MPEG4) file, so you can right click the page and save as, or goto the ‘edit’ tab and save page as, or what ever!
Now you can download and do whatever the hell you want!

Bout a week back met up with Enda Crowley (endacrowley.ie) in town for coffee, told me that TV3 were looking to do a show (as a part of a series on teenage life) on the internet, social networks, privacy and whatnot. Enda asked me to be interviewed with him on it as “expert”, yeah I laughed too.
Fast forward a week and im in a car driving to the Silversprings hotel with Enda and Siobhán (koelphotoblog.wordpress.com) to meet with Tv3 and Tommy (trusttommy.com). Met with Tommy there, while waiting had coffee and whipped all our laptops out on the table (gotta live up to a sterotype).
We met with the crew and moved to a convention room setup with lighting, cameras and even water (you know you’ve made it when they give you water). Tommy and Siobhan got the nice questions on blogging and social networks, why people do it and all that. Enda was asked about privacy, teencamp and meeting up people from the net. Of course I would be the one to get the questions on hacking and protecting themselves online. Interview was a few hours and they got some action shots of us doing crazy stuff like typing and surfing the net.
All in all was a pretty kickass interview. Should air sometime around sometime in summer, will keep posted.

I have a few issues with foursquare, not the “I was never loved as a child and used to kill and cut open small animals” type issues, no the ones thats like “oh fuck I’ve been robbed” issues. Want me to explain? Of course you do, otherwise you woulda been smart to quit out page already…

Right, so people get points and badges and other shiney things when they give away their location? Does’nt this mean hypothetically (word auto-correct WIN!) someone could track when a foursquare user is at home (yes they even post where they live) and when they’re away, so they can rob their home or something? Suppose the same could be applied to Twitter and someones home answering machine telling that they’re away on holidays, although it does’nt actively give away their freakin’ location.
In another respect people could play with Foursquare, if a kids parents actively look at their kids Twitter, FaceBook or Foursquare updates just to know where they are and be a “better” parent, a kid could buff saying he/she/it (gotta think of the hermaphrodites out there) are in school/at a friends house/etc. Like I know of people who setup a secondary Twitter or Facebook account for this sorta reason.
Eh I dunno who even reads this stuff anyway?
