Right, so in my previous post I embedded the vid of my first backflip via twitvid.com, however what would I do if I wanted to download that? Heres a guide on how to download vids from twitvid!
1.
Goto the page of the video you wanna download, see the URL bit up top, well in this case its ” http://www.twitvid.com/A7C51 “, well just ” player/” after the “twitvid.com”, so it’d be “http://www.twitvid.com/player/A7C51″, hit enter an go it.
2.
righto, so you’ll be brought to this page, its basically a big screen flash player of the vid, the url will now be something ridonkcolously, pick out the http://www.twitvid.com/playVideo_A7C51/token_87c55b1e07b6647e6e7bf172b6585ef0
copy and paste it into the url bar and go to it!
3.
Right, so this is the movie file playing in your browser, its a .mp4 (MPEG4) file, so you can right click the page and save as, or goto the ‘edit’ tab and save page as, or what ever!
Now you can download and do whatever the hell you want!

but when i clicked “http://www.twitvid.com/player/499B0? i am brought to “http://www.twitvid.com/mediaplayer_kevin/player.swf?plugins=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.twitvid.com%2Fmediaplayer%2Fplayers%2Ftracker&fullscreenbutton=false&bufferlength=0.1&type=lighttpd&streamer=lighttpd&file=http://www.twitvid.com/playVideo_499B0/token_d8eb7cdf82ad948b43586d7071d0e686&image=http://images.twitvid.com/499B0.jpg&logo=http://kevin.twitvid.com/mediaplayer/logo.png&displayclick=link&linktarget=_blank&link=http://twitvid.com/499B0&retweet_url=&style_color=#ffffff&login_url=&id=&publisher_id=p-78tHqq1t-JNgk&media=video&title=twitvidvideo&video_id=499B0&title_msg=&autostart=false&timetext=false&fullscreenbutton=false”
NAH WHAT SHOULD I DO?
oooh sorry. i know i should copy “www.twitvid.com/playVideo_499B0/token_d8eb7cdf82ad948b43586d7071d0e686″ to the URL bar. but why cant i save it?
right so yer at: http://www.twitvid.com/playVideo_499B0/token_d8eb7cdf82ad948b43586d7071d0e686
and now it brought yup that video player yoke, press ctrl + s to save in IE or firefox, what browser are you using?
Your tip worked like a charm. Thank you so much for the very helpful and well-written instructions.
how can i save this and use it for my own video? ur tip let me save it but i can’t play it back or use it.
Hey, few things you can do here, if nothing on your computer plays the file, you can:
-Download VLC (videolan.org) to play it and subsequently convert it
-You can also convert the video online through a few sites!
OMG, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! The instructions were easy to follow and everything worked like a charm! Thank you once again!
Regarding the twitvid, is there something missing in my pc if I can’t see the clips? I always get the error message something like ‘video cannot be view…with an url below’
Is this when you download a video or on the site itself?
I have a mac and this didnt work for me.? am i doing something wrong?

Excellent guide! Works perfectly! Thank you very much.

Right assuming you’re using safari, then safari is weird about saving quicktime files unless you have QuickTime Pro.
I suggest you download FireFox or Chrome and do it with either of them! *cough*Follow me on Twitter*cough*
Thank you so much!!!!!! <3

I can’t save the video. It tells me I need to buy quicktime pro.How can I get around that??
Hey Tori.
My guess is you’re using Safari. Download google chrome and follow the tutorial using that and you will have no problems!
For some reason Safari is bitchy with let users download videos
Actually I use firefox. Can’t it work with firefox? I really don’t want to download google chrome.
hmmmm. if yer using firefox there should be no issue. Click on the file tab in the menu bar as click ‘save page as.’
To download video from a site twitvid.com I use service takeyoutube.com
I followed the instructions for step 1 but when you open the page with the bigger screen, I don’t see this: http://www.twitvid.com/playVideo_A7C51/token_87c55b1e07b6647e6e7bf172b6585ef0. It’s just some really long url with % and & and stuff. What am I doing wrong? BTW I’m using a mac to but I’m using chrome for this, not safari.
Thank you so much for the tips! It really helped me a lot ((:
im at the last step

Hey man!
Safari is really queer about download quicktime files without one having quicktime pro.
Download Google Chrome and follow the guide, you’ll have no issue

How can i still download twitvids??
It saves as a .flv, and it says that it will take 10 hours to download on safari…
thanks you so much… this is very very useful… and also AWESOME !!!
I don’t understand the second step. After I do the first step, the link become super complicated. What should I do next?
hmm, it all worked fine until the last step. i pasted the bit of the URL into the browser, but it just said ‘An error occurred while processing your request.’ that. what do i do?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Thank you so Much this helped alot —If you have firefox…once you get to the 3rd step and cant save it because its asking you for the quicktime pro just copy and paste the link you got on the 3rd step and paste it on http://www.takeyoutube.com then from there download the video
Not working. Tried on my Mac (Firefox) and on my PC at work (Firefox & Explorer) and neither worked – error messages keep coming up. On Explorer it’s saying I need to log on to the site (??) and on Firefox (both Mac & PC) keep getting this message: An error occurred while processing your request.
Any other ideas? Sites? Hints for downloading Twitvids?
thanks.
you’re a champ! worked a treat =) cheers!!
i cant get this to work
Stuck on step 3? Don’t wanna buy Quicktime Pro? Here’s how you can get around it: Tools>Page Info>Media>Save As
Oh my GOD! It works!

http://www.twitvid.com/playVideo_A7C51/token_87c55b1e07b6647e6e7bf172b6585ef0
thing it says the website declined to show it to me…
it would be the best if you knew another way or something..
