How to download vids from twitvid.com

Right, so in my previous post I embedded the vid of my first backflip via twitvid.com, however what would I do if I wanted to download that? Heres a guide on how to download vids from twitvid!

1.

1

Goto the page of the video you wanna download, see the URL bit up top, well in this case its ” http://www.twitvid.com/A7C51 “, well just ” player/” after the “twitvid.com”, so it’d be “http://www.twitvid.com/player/A7C51″, hit enter an go it.

2.

3

righto, so you’ll be brought to this page, its basically a big screen flash player of the vid, the url will now be something ridonkcolously, pick out the http://www.twitvid.com/playVideo_A7C51/token_87c55b1e07b6647e6e7bf172b6585ef0

copy and paste it into the url bar and go to it!

3.

4

Right, so this is the movie file playing in your browser, its a .mp4 (MPEG4) file, so you can right click the page and save as, or goto the ‘edit’ tab and save page as, or what ever!

Now you can download and do whatever the hell you want!

Whoa Whoa Whoa, if you found this useful, give something back, follow me on Twitter for more awesomeness

Hey, few things you can do here, if nothing on your computer plays the file, you can:
-Download VLC (videolan.org) to play it and subsequently convert it
-You can also convert the video online through a few sites!

OMG, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! The instructions were easy to follow and everything worked like a charm! Thank you once again! :)

Right assuming you’re using safari, then safari is weird about saving quicktime files unless you have QuickTime Pro.

I suggest you download FireFox or Chrome and do it with either of them! *cough*Follow me on Twitter*cough*

  26. Whelton Sep 19, 2010 5:26 pm

    Hey Tori.
My guess is you’re using Safari. Download google chrome and follow the tutorial using that and you will have no problems!
For some reason Safari is bitchy with let users download videos

  27. Tori Sep 20, 2010 1:24 am

Actually I use firefox. Can’t it work with firefox? I really don’t want to download google chrome.

  28. Whelton Sep 20, 2010 10:06 pm

hmmmm. if yer using firefox there should be no issue. Click on the file tab in the menu bar as click ‘save page as.’

  29. mavrrr Oct 07, 2010 6:03 pm

  30. Mack Nov 01, 2010 7:37 am

I followed the instructions for step 1 but when you open the page with the bigger screen, I don’t see this: http://www.twitvid.com/playVideo_A7C51/token_87c55b1e07b6647e6e7bf172b6585ef0. It’s just some really long url with % and & and stuff. What am I doing wrong? BTW I’m using a mac to but I’m using chrome for this, not safari.

    Hey man!
Safari is really queer about download quicktime files without one having quicktime pro.

Download Google Chrome and follow the guide, you’ll have no issue ;)

  35. Alicia Nov 16, 2010 1:52 pm

  37. Safira Dec 29, 2010 2:52 am

I don’t understand the second step. After I do the first step, the link become super complicated. What should I do next?

  38. lizzie Dec 31, 2010 5:01 am

hmm, it all worked fine until the last step. i pasted the bit of the URL into the browser, but it just said ‘An error occurred while processing your request.’ that. what do i do?

  39. ROMULATOR Jan 01, 2011 7:05 am

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

  40. Mayra Cansigno Jan 02, 2011 11:10 pm

Thank you so Much this helped alot —If you have firefox…once you get to the 3rd step and cant save it because its asking you for the quicktime pro just copy and paste the link you got on the 3rd step and paste it on http://www.takeyoutube.com then from there download the video :)

  41. Rebecca Jan 05, 2011 3:32 pm

Not working. Tried on my Mac (Firefox) and on my PC at work (Firefox & Explorer) and neither worked – error messages keep coming up. On Explorer it’s saying I need to log on to the site (??) and on Firefox (both Mac & PC) keep getting this message: An error occurred while processing your request.

Any other ideas? Sites? Hints for downloading Twitvids?

    thanks.
